GAME 2D ILLUSTRATION

FROM SCRIBBLE TO FINAL ART

The concepts 2D are done with 3D creation in mind to facilitate the modeling process. It begins with a scribble as an initial approach to the idea, followed by development, and concludes with a clean, polished, full-color artwork.

SKETCHES
FOR BACKGROUND
I usually start with some fast scribbles.

NOMAD SCULPT
Sometimes I use Nomad Sculpt to create an initial version of the scene. It helps in shaping the volumes.

BLENDER
I import the file into Blender. I think Nomad is great for modeling the sets, but for cameras and lighting, I use Blender.

PHOTOSHOP
For the pencil sketches and final art, I use Photoshop. I really like this tool; it's amazing for 2D rendering. I love creating atmosphere through colors, lighting, and textures. Everything is done on separate layers.
