Concept art

One of the first steps is to create designs that contribute to establishing the series' style. New concepts can be developed in traditional ways, such as on paper, but other tools to consider include Photoshop, Flash, Affinity, Procreate, and Nomad Sculpt, among others.

Styles are infinite, going from realistic to cartoon or abstract.

CHARACTER DESIGN

In the past, I worked on numerous animated series with my husband, David Frasquet, primarily handling all aspects of pre-production. Currently, he focuses more on storyboarding, but we still occasionally collaborate on projects.
I usually draw the poses, turnarounds, and everything else the character needs in Photoshop.

Sometimes I use Toon Boom to finalize the character; other times, I use Flash, and I also occasionally use traditional methods.

RIGGING CHARACTERS

3D designs

Nomad Sculpt helps a lot for modeling on 3D.

PROPS AND FX

From scribble to color. They are done with Photoshop by layers.
